ammo, rifles, components. People darn near fall over when I ring up plain old Rem 30-06 ammo and tell 'em it's $30. When will it end?

has been on in a big way since mid April 2007. Ive ask my suppliers through out the year about the decline in business and its wide spread. This coming year you are going to see business going down hill like a runaway freight train, and the Jan 1 increase that will be imposed by most supply houses will open the throttle to wide open. I have sold every part that I have in house, and will only stock Jewell triggers. I believe that this item will continue to be in demand by the people that can afford to play the game.

Larry, first of all, which models of the Jewel tigger are going up? You could give us a little warning. I hope your wrong on the "runaway freight train", were I work they are putting on more people and our 10 hour days are expected to continue for who kows how long. I hate working 7 days a week, no time for shooting!

the toys(guns and related items). I have already seen a great decline in sales on gun boards this past year. I'm seeing lots of rifles for sale that have room for profit in normal times, but if you have no future buyers its not a good investment, so therfore I am making none. When the wholesaler says his business is in decline, and you see lots of specials, that has one meaning to me, things arenot well in the market.
I have posted price increase notices twice since I received word from the factory. The price increase will effect the BR Models/AR15s/Winchester only. These will factory increase by 10.00 on Jan 1.

A big gun shop in Charlotte NC has had a big run on hand guns this year for Christmas. And not selling much of anything else.

the pricing structure of anything, whether its essential or not, that customers will decline to buy, or reduce buying of the items. The gun and reloading market has nearly reached that point, and I dont believe the increased pricing in Jan by most companies is the end of it. Any time that fun items become so costly that you have to worry about what they cost, you need to let them alone, because you really cant afford to play.
