The Taurus Judge 45 LC/.410 While not exactlly a Cc pistol I thought it sounded like a pretty neat idea. Has anyone bought one or shot one ?

a guns store guy said that he'd seen a picture of The Judge in American Rifleman or some such that showed the "star"[ not the real part name, of course] on the back of the cylinder that looked like it'd been cut with a dull cold chisel.
I own an American Derringer .45/.410 and it would definitely take the edge off the day of a person on the receiving end of same.
I've owned Taurus revolvers and never a hitch but have to admit that the "cold chisel" comment struck me funny at the time.

I haven't owned anything Taurus but have handled several at gun shops and find that "cold chisel " comment odd as well. I was thinking that a .410 #4 shot round or two backed up by some hollow point 45 LC's in the 5 shot cylinder would for sure ruin someone's day.

Do you think you could get it to group at 600????? Buddy has the 17HMR and med long bbl he bought several years ago. I was impressed at the time with the finish and apparent quality. We were using it w/iron sights to scare bowling pins at a hunnert.

That picture of the cylinder "star" in the Rifleman also caught my eye. I have owned a few of the Taurus revolvers and none of mine had looked like their test piece. It's a wonder it would even index properly. Hope they don't all look that sad.

Hi all.
I have a JUDGE and carry it a lot. I have a version not in the catalogs or on the web site, YET! My dealer ordered me a pair of them. Mine is the ULTRA-LITE version for what its worth. The cylinder is the 2 3/4" with a 3" bbl. Alloy frame, steel cylinder, steel barrel, and matte grey finish. Fiber optic front sight, frame groove rear sight. Quite attractive.
Now for the target information.
There is 1 cylinder full, (5 rounds) on the target.
It was shot at 7 yards.
There are 2- #9 shot
2- 000 Buck (3 Pellets @)
1- 45 Colt
It could be hard to tell, but there are 7 large holes in the target. I used the black bull as an aiming point, offhand. The 2 uppermost holes are the wads with a single 000 ball still in the wad of each. The 2 remaining 000 buck balls from each shell are about 5-6" below their respective wadded shell mates. The single 45 Colt bullet is just kissing the bull at 12 o'clock high.
Trust me. If a vermin were to ignore the first 2 shots of #9, the next 2 shots of 000 buck would likely get some attention. Should those 4 shots fail to get full attention, the 45 Colt would likely stop the threat. BTW, the 000 buck holes resemble a 38 cal hole.
Hope most questions are answered. If not, just ask.

The star does look pretty rough, but after extensive dry fire, I've never expirenced a hic-up of any sort.

fired one, it only had a .410 shell in it but I don't think it kicked too bad, can't imagine getting hit with it though. The guy I know bought it for hunting rattlesnakes, should work well, lifetime guarantee doesn't hurt either.
