Thursday Morning coyote

Finally got out Thursday morning for a bit of predator hunting. This coyote came in response to some howling at around 9:10 AM. She only offered a head on shot at approximately 50 yards. LOTS of wolf sign in the area too. It sure is nice not wearing snowshoes at this time of year. :) MI VHNTR

Is it frozen rain? Thats all we get in Iowa anymore is rain.

EricT, funny you should ask that question about frozen rain. We're supposed to get a storm with freezing rain and then around 8" of snow on top of it. It should make the driving real interesting tomorrow night. Hopefully, I can get back out to this area a couple more times without using snowshoes. A normal winter here would have a couple of feet of snow on the ground by now. I sure don't miss that white stuff. MI VHNTR
