Picked up a M7 in .243 the other day on trade. Any load suggestions for this 20" rig? It'll be primarily a truck/coyote rifle, so I'm looking for 65-80grain loads.

Thanks,

Dbl-bbl: I use 45.5 grs H414 with a 70 grain Nosler BT, and I like it's accuracy and it's hard on groundhogs. The H414 meters well also.

Try the Sierra 70gr BlitzKing with 40 to 41 grains of Varget. :D

My favorite 243 loads are: 1) 48 grains of RL 22 and the 85 grain Sierra HPBT and 2) 40 grains of Varget and a 70 grain bullet, or 39 grains of Varget with the 75 grain VMAX. I have two Model 7s, and both give good accuracy. Good luck.

I've had good results from 55 gr Sierra Blitzkings 42.3 gr of Varget.
Happy reloading.

Thanks for the replies. I have 414 and Varget in the shop, this will give me somewhere to start.

Thanks again,
