Anybody fishing yet?

This year is not starting off very good..My home lake is still a little LOW and the ramps are just starting to get into the water so I can launch the old pontoon boat..be about another week.

How you guys....fishing yet?

I'm a bit leery though. We nearly always get one last freeze before Momma' Nature relinquishes her grip. Easter is usually pretty chily. But I'm gettin' axious...

but the lake has been high and muddy, now its clearing and falling fast, which is not good for chances of catching fish. Ever spring when it gets warm enough, the lake conditions get bad, just they stuff happens.

I'm winding down my coyote hunting (not sure it was ever really wound up) and starting to look forward to fishing with my boys. The only problem is my lake is still has two feet of hard water on it. We're gonna try trolling the edges during breakup this year for trout. Timing is everything with that. We'll see how dedicated they are to the sport.

Not yet but it wont be long, this time of year I usually try to balance my time between groundhogs and fishing...the weather has been slow to break this year though.

Went Ice Fishing Tuesday, 30" of Ice & 20 mph winds, had some lookers but could not get any landed.

Went to a local lake yesterday, trout were biting on minnows, landed one for lunch.:rolleyes:
