Called the Elite4000.

I know the new ones are made by Bushnell and not under the old Lomb name.

Are they better than the new 6-24 or about the same.

What should they sell for? Sorry I don't remember how to spell "Bausch"

Thanks

I have one of each. The 4200 is probably not the very latest model as I've had it several years. I can tell little if any difference between the 4000 &
4200. As far as price, I can only say that $300 has seemed a fair price to me. I wouldn't pay more than that. Of course, if you're selling, get what you can.

That 4000 is the model before a 4200. It's the same except without rainguard lens coating. I have both 4000 and 4200's in 6-24 and 8-32, also a couple predecessors from the late 80's that are just called "Balvar." They're all excellent. The last one was bought used at a gunshop, a 4000/6-24 for $225. Always keep your eyes open and whenever there's one at that price don't even hesitate.
