I want to purchase a marlin .22 mag for my father for his birthday/father's day gift and I just wanted some feedback on scope options. I would like to stay in in the 100 to 200 dollar range, so any suggestions regarding which scopes would be the most effective for this price range would be appreciated.

I put a scope I bought from Natchez Shooting Supply. Its a 4-16x40 Simmons Prairie Master Scope. I think it was like $60.00 It works great on the 22 Mag.

It has Target Turrets and an adjustable objective. I'm pleased w/ it considering it's being used on the 22 mag... I wouldn't put it on a 243 or 7mm... Sam

I've got a Weaver K6 on my CZ 452 mag. It does everything that I ask for it while hunting. If I was going to shoot more paper I would upgrade to something with more magnification. Either way, you can't go wrong with a 3-9.

Take a look at the Mueller APV 4.5-14. I've got one a 17 HMR and it's pretty good!

I second the Mueller. Look at several of the board sponsors to compare prices and models. For the money it cant be beat!!! I have 4-16x50 on 17 hmr but they have numerous models to choose from acording to your needs.
I just bought a Simmons 22 Mag scope for my 22 mag and I like it. Another choice is the Tasco 2.5x10 will mill dot rec. I put it on a 22 hornet. I like both so far. Natchez is probably cheapest.
You have money left from your $100 to buy rings and order some Hornady Vmax 22 mag ammo from Midsouth.
