Anyone on here have one. I am looking at one the lady had to trade in her engagement ring today on a bigger one. She said she would buy me a gun if I would let her of corse I said sure go a head and trade up. Anyways I am been drolling over one at a local gun shop. What are you guys topping it with? I am looking at either a Weaver 2.5-8x pistol scope or a Sightron s33 red dot? Not sure which one though.

I've heard the guys that have them love them. I'm gonna be getting the soon-to-be-released Chipmunk Hunter/Silhouette pistol in 17 HMR. I'm gonna be putting the 3-9x PFI Rapid Reticle 22 Long Rifle scope on that 1.

over to rimfirecentral.com :) There's plenty of chatter about the Charger over there. Several members have them and have discussed pros and cons at some length.
Here's mine,Haven't shot it yet,I know it's been awhile.

VSSF man I thought you had moved. What is the make of that red dot?
I was looking at the Sightron S33 or the Burris Speed dot 135.
Does this thing take 22 weaver mounts or regular weaver mounts?
It's a Leupold/Gilmore red dot,They quit making em,but they are all over Ebay.

I'm pretty sure the bases will fit both rim fire and weaver mounts.
They have 2 set of grooves in the bases.

Consider the following as a totally antiquated, biased opinion formed by someone who has no experience with the product whatsoever:
I get this question from LE agencies all the time regarding SMGs which are basically just big pistols. I cannot see the logic of the Charger for the same reasons - it can neither perform the roles of a rifle and it certainly would seem to be difficult to shoot as a pistol (heavy for off-hand use, cannot be holstered).
So the first question should be: what do you plan to use it for? If for general range use I personally would prefer a nice pistol either new or used. A used S&W K22, a 1911 .22 conversion, Buckmark etc. If you want to go hunting with a semi-auto .22 then the 10/22 would be much more effective in the field just becuase you could hold it better and therefore shoot it better.
Personally, I f I had one of them I'd thread the barrel for a suppressor, fit a folding stock and compact scope, stuff it in a small duffle bag and go shooting monkeys in places I'm not supposed to - but that's just me.

I feel the same way. I am a long time RFC member, have built 8 or 9 custom 10/22's and am very much in the "I just don't get it" club. Folks on RFC are all aflutter over this hand-rifle.
But why? It cannot be holstered. It is not going to be any more accurate than a VERY handy 1911 conversion or any number of MK II/III variants that can be - even with a scope.
What is the use of carting around something this ungainly - and many are putting bipods on them. For about 1 more pound, you can add any number of skeletonized stocks that are a LOT easier to carry because of all the different ways you can hold them, not to mention they can be carried over the shoulder if preferred and I bet just about anyone can shoot one of those better than that big thing offhand.
I have a couple of lightweight hunters with carbon fiber barrels and skeletonized stocks that I bet weigh really close to a charger with a 12" steel barrel. I just don't get the big attraction. Give me my scoped MK II Target model any day to cart around the woods over a Charger.
