thought I'd already asked but can't find any posts w/search function.
What is your experience with SWIFT scopes?
I just mounted a 4.5-14X mil dot on my 17 Mach IV.
Do they hold up/hold zero/track OK?
Thanks for your opinions.

It worked well for awhile on my 223, tracked nicely. I was able to click up and down pretty well. Then it started getting fuzzy and hard to see through. Finally, the objective lens came off. I'm still not sure how.
They are supposed to have an "over the counter" warranty. Well, you have to find a dealer that has one in stock to trade. My local dealer wouldn't do it, didn't have one. Anyway, after a difficult time and several phone calls getting through to Swift, I finally got the address to send it back. They promptly sent me a new one, no questions asked...then I sold it. LOL

I have owned two or three of the 4-12x40's and one 6-24x50. I never had any trouble with them but the most recoil any had to deal with was on a Ruger VT in 243 or a mini-14. The 4-12's are quite nice considering the price.
I still have one 4-12 on a customized 10/22. It has held up well.

although I did shoot only two 3 shot groups after about a 4 shot sight in,,,they were 0.256" and 0.264".
I can move the eye ring and get side to side wobble. Apparently it does not change point of impact.

I'm late chiming in but here you go anyway.
I've got two, a fixed 6x and a 3x9. Both are excellent and do a great job. the 3x9 has seen the most work, it's on my 250 Savage. The 6x is on my 6.5x55 mauser carbine. Both have spent considerable time riding around in the truck, either in the overhead gun rack or on the floor of the back seat. I haven't seen any apparent damage or change in point of impact from one trip to the next.

I've had the exact same scope for a few years now, and no problems so far. I had it on an AR-15 at first, and then moved it to a .22-250, with no problems on either gun.
I'm now selling my .22-250, as I just bought a new Remington 700 LVSF in .243 to replace it, and will be moving the Swift scope to my latest Savage .17HMR that I also recently picked up.
Please don't anyone ask me why I now own two of these neat little Savage stainless heavy barrel .17 HMR's. But sometimes two of a good thing is good to have. :)
I only recently found out that Remington had done a limited run of the 700 LVSF in .243 Win this year. And for some reason, dealers are selling it for about $90 less than what the same rifle in .223 and .22-250 is selling for.
Remington must be offering some kind of promotion on it, I figure. A Nikon Monarch 4-16x is going on the new 700 LVSF.
I consider the new Nikon Monarchs to now be the best value on the scope market today.
