I just bought one of the New Browning A-bolts in matt SS with the Walnut Stock made for the Shot Show. It is in 308 cal. Now I have a 3X9X40 Zeiss scope on my 223 Browning and love it. My question is: Do I go with the 3.5X10X44 for the 308?. If I do decide on the 44 do I need medium height rings? And last ,what other scope would you use if you do not go with the Zeiss.

hi nubber..i don't own a browning..i'm sure the medium ring's would work just fine with the 44mm objective..a co-worker has the 3x9 ziess conquest,on his browning 270wsm..it indeed seem's to be a great scope, very clear...i'm temped to buy one & might..yet..i "gotta" admit i'm becoming more attached to leupold's..as i'm becoming a "tad" older..just turned 44..i really appreciate the "eye" relief that leupold's have..

i would put the 3-9X40 conquest on the 308, and maybe get a little more scope for the 223.
check the for sale on snipershide, theres a 3-9X40 conquest on there right now
