Marlin 915Y and YS

Hey guys, Im wanting to buy a Marlin 915YS stainless 22lr bolt action your rifle for carrying around shooting squirrels and hiking. They are single shot. I have heard they are ver accurate. The question I have is do the actions have a cutout for a magazine or are the really a solid single shot action?

my boy's is defintely solid bottom. Single shot only. And yes, it is VERY accurate. He shoots thumbtacks at 35 yards with his 2x scope!
