Can the Varminter be improved on? It will drive tacks now. Just wanted to know if anything else can be done to it to improve it even more??

I can only guess what is left to do... so, I always recrown, debur the trigger, bolt lugs and install a wedge between the lower and upper to insure a solid mate. I use a teflon added lube for the action.
I also had experimented w/ factory loadings and found a sweet load, Fed American Eagle 50 gr HP's. I have a standard reload w/ Virgin brass that works better than factory fodder too, it's 23.8 Gr of IMR 4064 lit off by a WW Sm Mag Pistol primer sending a 52 gr HP into sub moa w/ most any .223 rifle.
I hope it helps, and there are many shooters here w/ more tips that may work, I hope that you get some more helpful tips!:)

Depending on what type of trigger you have - a standard AR trigger or some type of aftermarket - an aftermarket trigger may be in order. Even a 'tuned' or 'tweaked' standard trigger sucks, quite frankly. Almost any aftermarket trigger is an improvement.

If you have done those things AND tweaked out a favorite load, what kind of accuracy are you getting? I am curious just how far you want to improve. Have you done any paper shooting at 300 yards to see what it is really doing?

My rifle is stock; it comes with a 2 stage comp. trigger, 11 degree crown, with a 24" 1 in 9" twist. I've shot 1.75" groups@ 200 yds but I am limited by my optics right now. I plan on the Nikon 5.5-24 Monarch soon. I soon to begin reloading when my press comes in. I've ordered the Lee press kit and I've already got my .223 dies, so any reloading advice will be welcome.

Improving the optics can only help. Sounds like a sweet rifle now.
