went down to the farm last night after work to see if
any ground hogs were out.I spotted one at 205 yrds but when I laid down all I could see was the top of his head.I gave a few whistles but he would not stand up ,finally he moved into a position that I could see his whole head touched one off and he was done .I used a savage fp10 in 223 with 52 a-maxs atop 25.0grs of h322 .I also installed a b&c medalist stock .Sorry I forgot the camera next time I will include photos.

Sounds like your first of the season was a resounding opening shot. Congratulations and keep at it.

I also have a Savage 10FP in 223 which loves Black Hills 50gr V-Max moly loads. I don't use it that often because it is too heavy for me to carry around all day in the field. It's a good shootin' rifle though. Has a Leupold VX-III 4.5-14X 40mm scope and a Sharshooter replacement trigger.

I'm going to replace my trigger w/ a sss trigger ,how do you like it?I have the tactical bolt handle and wolf firing pin spring.I have just tried some berger 70 gr vlds and it put 9 shots in a row into .460'' group it also loves 52 amaxs and 50 vmaxs .It is the most accurate gun I have.
