First Blood

I drew first blood of the year today. I went turkey hunting this morning. Afterwards I watched a small barn lot for some ground hog's. My friend said he had a bunch of them under the barn. I sat there for close to two hours with no sightings. All of a sudden I saw three of them. All witihin 5 yards of each other. I shot two real quick with my RR Varminter. I searched for the third but he ran behind the watering trough. About that time a car came down the dirt road. That was the end of the action. I normally do not get started til late June or early July, but I do like to hunt small barn lots. Tom.
