in just one afternoon..........

I added another 22 Hornet to the shelf yesterday, a CZ 527........

It only took a few hours from when I left the gun shop to draw "'first blood"

BTW- I reload but picked up a box of Winchester 45 grain soft points and was very impressed with the terminal ballistics of this unique in design soft point as compared to others (varminters, hornady, remington). It has more lead exposed with a flat tip, thin jacket. It appears to be more explosive. I did a search but could only find the 46 grain HP. If anyone knows where I can buy these bullets please provide the information..........Winchester 45 grain soft point Hornet bullet.

Thanks.

How do you like that single set trigger? Looking at M537 in 1:9twist last week but a FN 220 Swift got in the way........L.R.

I enjoy them (this my second CZ w) set trigger).

I use the set trigger always off sticks for Woodchucks and the standard if one pops up whileing roving calling for a off hand or one knee shot.

I say "enjoy" because I don't think they are really needed but are enjoyable to use and tinker with.

CZ makes a nice all around walking / calling sporter.

... the 46 gr. Win soft point factory load was my "accuracy reference." Was at it a long time until I was able to beat their accuracy.

Good handload for the Hornet is 11.2 gr. H-110 and the 40 gr. VMax. Lots of guys like the 35 gr. VMax, but it runs our of steam at 100 yards. At one time, Midway had the 46 gr. Win. softpoint bullet in bulk packs.
