Hi Guys
Been a long time since I've posted...but am looking for some encouraging words about how the pdogs are doing! My shooting buddy Glen and I are headed to our honey holes this weekend somewhere in the Dakotas. Any sign of pups? Too early or?? Has the weather been favorable? ANy info will be much appreciated! TIA, Tim

80 degrees and sun brought the pups out in force here in Wyoming the first of the week BUT a weather system is gonna keep the whole doggin area in thunderstorms and scattered showers for the next week :(

It was a bust for us last week, “somewhere in the Dakotas.” 30 to 35 mph wind Friday and Saturday. The dogs were smart enough to keep their heads down. What does that say about us? The few dogs that showed were wily adults. I didn't shoot 150 rounds in two days.
Sunday morning was dead calm and sunshine. A good shoot. There were a few pups, but not like you would expect.
They are there, though. We were probably just a few days early. You should have it timed just about right.

When you find a p'dog on a snow bank and hit it, it makes a big red spot. Very satisfying, if you would rather see cows eat the grass. Encouraging enough? What was it? Two weeks ago there was a foot of snow in Rapid City. This is a long winter year and you have to take the weather as it comes. luck.

It has been my personal experience that the pups are always up by Memorial day weekend.
