I only have time for one picture this morning, guys, so here it is. This one was shot in Independence, MO, on our drive from Tennessee to South Dakota, pulling Greyfox's camping trailer. We had to make an unexpected stop at a Super Wal-Mart and this photo pretty much is self-explanatory. More in the days ahead. PLease note that Greyfox (Rick) is DRY and apparently warm in this photo. You won't see either of those attributes in later images. :)

James,
It would be safe to say that I wasn't the happiest camper at that point in time. OTOH-we were able to get a tire from Wally World that took care of the problem for the remainder of the trip. The delay was only for about an hour, but the nervousness from a blown tire @ 65mph in KC traffic is still there. Matter of fact, I'm about to do a search for the correct tire.

I'll bet the ol Greyfox snagged that tire offn some farmer's fence post. You know the tires I'm talkin about...the ones that say NO HUNTING on them!:D (Serves 'im right, bein so cheap!:p But, if bullets are his priority over tires, I guess I can understand that a leeetle bit.;))

Been there and done that (not on a camper trailer, just a flatbed). And,
Walmart will not chnage a trailer tire. But, they did loan us the tools and
we removed the wheel & like Rick, what was left of the tire and they did
install a new tire for us. I was on I75 at Berea, Ky right at the Walmart
exit. So, we only lost about 30 minutes. Glad you fellows had a safe
trip. Have you gotten the mud wash out/off yet ?

Don,
Most of the mud was removed by the rain on the way home Thursday afternoon. A good bit of the rest was washed away, in the Rockport KOA campground, by the near miss tornado & thunderstorm Thursday night/Friday morning. The campground manager woke us up @ 1:30AM banging on the door and screaming that we should run to the bathhouse.....tornado spotted 5 miles away....But then, that's another story. I still have some on the running boards and quite a bit on the camper floor.
