I have Remington 700 in .222. I am feeding a mini-14 and decided having a .222 around was foolish considering my stockpile of .223.

I found the box

I posted on TFL and was told to post here to get a more specific crowd.
No one has offered me what I want for it, $600 +shipping. More than willing to trade for a .223, 22-250, or .17 or one of the popular varmint rounds that is worth less than the $600 and "all weather". I don't want to work up loads for and store all the stuff for both .222 and .223 when there is practically no difference considering my skill level. My present plan is to have the chamber reamed to .223. Some people on TFL seem to think this is sacrilegious.
email me @ johnwilliamson062@gmail.com with offers. % condition is fine until I like an offer, then we can deal with pictures.

Any trade rifles must be "all weather." Stainless, nice synthetic stock.
I found the box while putting out the trash a few nights back. It never made it out to the curb.
To clarify, I am really trying to get all my "shooters" to all weather models. Tired of worrying every time I feel rain drops, and the humidity in Ohio is crap.

Probably nobody's offered you $600 because the gun isn't worth that much. There's nothing sacred about a 222 and it's sure not worth more than the same gun in 223/22-250/17R calibers you mention. And if you're talking "all weather" as in stainless, no way.

Well this rifel was a 700 with top fit and finish, I was willing to trade for something a little more utilitarian. Got my trade. Thnx everyone.
