one is a 444 the other a 45-70. when i bought the 444 it was like new. the first time i shot it, it jumped off the rest and scratched the foreend a little. i refinished a small spot on the foreend and it is a little lighter than the other wood. other than that, the rifle is 98%. i bought the 45-70 LNIB in the original box. it is still that way and has the desireable straight stock. both rifles have 2-7 nikon monarchs mounted in burris signature rings. the 444 will AVERAGE .8" at 100yds with a 330gr hard cast gas checked bullet and surplus wc844 powder. the 45-70 will shoot slightly over 1" with a 435gr hard cast gas checked bullet at 100yds. i will gladly send target pics to serious inquiries. would sell the 444 for $650 and the 45-70 for $800. i am only going to sell one and keep the other. i am wanting to build a 338 edge so i would also trade for a remington magnum actioned rifle especially a sendero in 300 or 338 RUM. prefer a stainless action but i am open to others. any magnum action will work i believe. thanks.

i think i will keep the 444 since it has less collector value and i really enjoy shooting it. i will reduce the price of the 45-70 to $550 w/o the scope or $750 with the nikon monarch. please reply to my email chlodama@hotmail.com. thanks.
