View Full Version : Hard to get guys
Just got in my 50,000 primers. I had to look all over to find them. Reloading stuff is starting to get hard to find again. It did this about 6 years ago and , I still do not know if the rteloadeing co. did it so they could raise the price or it was a real thing. But if you look the prices did not go down after the conflicts stopped or at least slowed down. I do not want to be the cause of a run on reloadeing parts, but if you need some, I would pick them up as you need them and maybe add a few more to the shopping cart.

Seeing what was begenning to happen with the prices & supply of
reloading items I stoked up on most of the items that I will be needing
for Prairie Dog Trips & Shooting for the next several years back in 2005
before prices went completely crazy & got much more expensive. I did
so advise the shooters in our area. Some stocked up & some have been
still looking for supplies since then.
Murphy, for somebody that has no money, you sure seem to be doing ok. :-)

The chinese are buying all the brass and copper they can get, and the price on scrap has gone UP. Two years ago, we were getting about 40 cents a lb here for rifle brass. Last year, I got $1.60 a lb, in Hanover Pa. and understand it's up to about $2.00 a lb now. so price up on the basic components. Or at least that's the excuse given.

It seems like reloading gear is one of the only good investments around right now.The prices are going up and supply is going down. And you get a lot of pleasure when you use them.
I remember the primer shortages in the early 1990's.I try to keep around 25,000 primers on hand at all times.I know that will get me through a few prairie dog seasons.
