I ran across this story just now on AOL and thought you guys should be aware of it. I think you can get to it even if you aren't an AOL member.

Just saw it also. Took the poll attached to the AOL version. Looks like 51 to 49 percent against the contest. Gee, looks just like the Senate numbers.

The 51% have not had any of their yorkies or tabbies snatched up by a coyote in front of their very eyes yet. It will happen.

I read some of the comments of these PETA nazis; these people are the sick ones and they pick on us hunters. Called the Coyote a "Low Tech Animal" and said they didn't have a chance against us "Rednecks". Guess they don't know much about Coyotes.

Just read the article and then some of the posts about the article. It just amazes me how ignorant and hypocritical the anti hunting crowd is. One poster even said they love it when they hear of hunters being shot in a hunting accident. Wow - we are up against a strange bunch. I personally won't ever participate in a contest because for me it is more of a spiritual activity (that's just me). But I do feel they are somewhat necessary to help control the population.
