Shooting 300gr jacketed hollow points and also some 500gr jacketed round nose. Shooting out of a strong action Browning HighWall. Thanks, OD

For Deer and bigger I use a 300 gr. Hornady HP with 62.0 gr. of Varget. I can tell you in my Browning Hi-Wall it kicks butt on both ends. This is strickly a high wall action or new lever action load. I'm very happy with it. You'll find some additional data on the Hodgdon website.

1874 Sharps 34in barrel. sure is fun. Tom

I just loaded up some 300 gr Laserecast with IMR Trailboss. This stuff looks like cheerios compared to the powders I normally use.

We use IMR 4198 or Rel 7 for 300-500gr boolits in our Encore 15" barreled handgun...works for us. We use data for the 1895 Marlin rifle and it is a bit intimidating with the short barrel, but it's not a round to go plinking with..lol...Bob in Indiana

in my ruger #1 I use 59 grns of VV 133 with a 300 grn bullet. This would yield 3 shots touching in a nice triangle at 100 yds. Hard on the shoulder yes this thing kicks like a mule.

I like RL-7 in the 45-70. Burns clean and runs through a powder measure quite well.

I also use the 4198 with a 300g jacketed bullet in my Marlin. A good shooting load. Never had to shoot a deer a second shot with it.
