do you have enough rimfires? How many rounds do you shoot a year? Do you have any you won't sale?

I do not yet have enough, only about 25.

My children and I go through about 7000 a year.

I have several that i plan on keeping forever. 4 are 10/22's that to me are perfect and a Charter Arms AR-7 that is a nightmare (inaccurate, ftf, fte, stovepipes and almost any other jam you can think of) could not put that off on anyone.

Let's hear what you've got.

I also have a great fondness for rimfires. One gun cabinet is devoted strickly to rimfires. 10-22s (I also have four) rate high on my list for overall utility and just plain fun. Lately I seem to have purchased more handguns. The last two being a Ruger 22/45 HB and a tiny little (unsure of the model #) Taurus semi auto with a "Buttline special, ha" 1 3/4 inch barrel. Regarding my comsumption of rimfire ammo, I would questimate about 4,000-6,000 rounds per year including my 22 WMR shooting. Just checked the Taurus website.... it's the Model 22N with 2 3/4 inch barrel....

James, your pictures are all backwards! Makes the guns look like they're for a lefty. ;)

I used to have a bunch of rimfires but lost them all when the cargo hatch on my airplane tragically popped open over the Gulf of Mexico right after the election. They were great fun while I had them! Maybe I'll get another one some day. Now what am I going to do with 5K rds each of HMR and HM2?

Haha. I am feeling inadequate as I only have 4 rimfires. I will do my best to improve on that. :D

I have only two now, definitely need more! First is my father's '73 10/22 that I slightly modified, below is my Savage 93r17. Next two on my list are a GSG5 and short barreled Walther P22...

I compare my fondness of rimfires, a little like heaven - there is always room for one more. 3 out of my last 4 purchases have been rimfires. A Winchester 69A match, a Taurus 94 revolver, Ruger 10/22 and the 4th was a 22 cal - except it was a .223.

I have (only) about 3,000 rounds right now, but am on the lookout for more. I was going to buy at least 1,000 more - but my local Wal_mart did not have any bricks in stock when I was there today

I never had any problem selling something with problems. I put a low price on it and tell the buyer all about the problems. I guess they think they can fix it better than I can. Never had any complain about it later, either.

Of that story. It was a gift from my favorite uncle and I'm the only one to get a gun from him, four to be exact. He didn't like it either, but was in his last days and knew he'd be gone soon enough. He said I'd always remember him and cuss when I tried to shoot that gun. I don't shoot that gun, but I think of him often. Thanks Sugarman

I really love the rimfire rounds, used to shoot 1000's of rounds per week, not so much anymore :( I have a 10/17, GSG-5, Ruger MK1, and a remington 541s.
Still have to get conversion kits for the PTR 91, AR, and G19.

I agree with the fact that you can't have enough of them

1st rifle that was ever my own is an old Springfield single shot. I think 83a?
Marlin 60 x2
Stevens ?? Semi-auto, will shoot shorts/longs/long rifles
CZ 452 22lr
Ruger Mk I
Ruger Mk II (new last week)
Beretta 21
Ruger 77/22 stainless .22mag

Next on the want list is a CZ 452fs in .22lr and I'm trying to decide about a 17hm2. I found a shop that has two of the blond maple stocks and I'm guessing at least one of them will still be there at summers end, in which case I'll probably take one home.

A family friend has a Ruger Stainless Single Six that as soon as he finds will be coming home with me. The guy is not a dealer and has around 1500 guns, he'll be in the process of moving them all this summer.

I plan on having 3 50+ gun safes just for my rimfires.

My dad currently has 100+ old mossberg rimfires. He has so many that he had to build a rack around the room to hold them all. He also picked up a nice winchester 52 in 90+% condition for a little over $500 a few months ago. Talk about a steal. Oh and it came with a near perfect lyman all american.
