View Full Version : Savage 29B ?
Any of you all had or have one? My friend has one for sale/trade, its a nice looking rifle, what information I've read is Blue Book and a small bit on the internet. The 29B from what I've read was manfactured after WWII up to the 60's. Anything special to look for or any problems that were special to this model? I like the looks and feel of this gun but looking for some feedback. Thanks,
Joe

Joe:
I have a Savage Model 29A, which is probably the predecessor of you 29B. I have had the rifle for since 1964 and have used it for plinking and some hunting. This little rifle has given me zero problems and is a great deal of fun to shoot. It will feed S, L, and LR shells mixed together without a hiccup..
Shoot it and enjoy..

Dave,
Thanks for your comments, looks like I've traded for this rifle, I called my buddy tonight and will pick it up tomorrow.
