How is the 17HMR cartridge availabilty going in your area? Wally World no boxes of any. Gunshow today, none. Local gunstore, none. Is this the start of Bammis gun shutdown?

Saw some this morning at a small gun show for $15 a box and Gander Mountain just south of us has a bunch. Doesn't appear to be in short supply but for $18 a box GM can keep it.

I just checked and MidSouth has it in stock for $9.99. Shipping to Indy on a brick (10 boxes) is $7.90. That works out to $10.78 a box shipped. I expect it will be here by Thursday. :)

Over the last 3-4 years I've bought a bunch of HMR from Midsouth. Their price on Hornady 17 gr VMax has gone up exactly 3 cents a box in that time. Getcha' some!

Panic buying is all it is. Unfounded panic buying.

Around here I'm not seeing any shortages of 17HMR's. I was in WM the other day and if I remember they were in the twelve dollar range? I don't have a 17 HMR or 2 so I'm a little rusty on that one.

A few weeks ago I posted there were no shortages on 22 ammo in my area.Well that has changed I went to my local gunshop last week and there is hardly any 22 cal. or 17 hmr left on the shelves.

a wise man never finds himself short. i baught several bricks of hmr last year. 5 bricks to be exact. i also got 6000 rounds of eley hm2 ammo last year. i shoot the hmr alot. the hm2 draws dust, but i have plenty of ammo for each. when the panic buying stops i'll still be ahead of the curve.

Used to be some at the local pawn, but then I bought it all ($10.50 + tax), then Bi-Mart had (2) bricks down in Bend, I bought that as well ($11.50), so when you see it, buy it...........there are other places to save money. LR

I have never bought any HMR or HM2 locally other than the occasional impulse purchase or when I saw a new load. I have always gotten mine from internet sources and have never had any problem with supply.
