I have an old Marlin Model 25 .22 LR Rifle. I have no idea as to how old this rifle is but it has the old style 7 round magazines with the magazine release on the magazine.

I was looking on the Revolution Gunstocks web site and noticed they offer a decent looking Thumbhole Riflestock for Marlin Rimfires. Does anyone know if these stocks will fit my old Marlin Model 25 (with or without minor modification to the stock)?

This old Marlin Model 25 I have is kind of special to me in that it was given to me by a dear friend. As such I would really like to dress it up a bit.

Thanks

As long as you make sure the stock is for a clip fed Model 25 I think you're set. Marlin is now making factory four round magazines for these rifles by the way. They fit more or less flush with the bottom of the stock and look much better for my taste. I would also suggest you just call the company directly and see if you can address your questions to a shooter/employee.

I e-mailed the company that makes the stocks and never did receive an answer. I also sent a letter to Marlin inquiring about the differences in these stocks (new vs old style) and they didn't address the question in their reply.

Not sure what I am going to do now.

Call Richards Microfit. They do a lot of Marlin stocks. They are slow, but they do good work, and they will get back with you(eventually). Tom.

Thanks

I have seen a few Marlins restocked with Richards Microfit Stocks. They sure do offer some great stocks, but yes are slow. This project kind of got scrapped for the time being and I moved on to a different project.
