OK , I used Bruce Herndons instructions , and got the Bolt in and out of the Action . This version was the Browning 52 Repro . Tried Tin Mans Winchester Site suggestion ....could'nt download it , so called Winchester and got a copy of the full instructions by Mail . Apparently , there are a few differences between the Winchester and Winchester/Browning Rifles . The Instructions are for the Winchester which is supposed to have a Barrel Tension Screw , halfway up the Forend . This Browning does not have this screw . But it does have two small screws thru the Floorplate , just in front of the Trigger . One says "PULL" which to me means Pull Weight . The other has O T printed near it . I'm guessing Overtravel ??? None of this is covered in the Winchester Instructions . So now my Questions : 1 . I backed the Pull Screw all the way out , but only got the Trigger down to about 56 Ounces ......way too much for me ....... (would like maybe 16 oz. ) Are there any write-ups on how to rework this Trigger ? Probably more important : does anyone know a gunsmith who has real life experience in reworking these 52 Repro Triggers ? 2. The O T screw did'nt seem to do much of anything , but the Trigger itself was crisp with very little Creep . How should the O T screw be adjusted ? 3. I want to get the Barreled Action out of the Stock , but it looks like you have to remove two topside screws near the Tang ( besides the bottom screws ) .......never saw this kind of set-up before !

There is a tiny roll pin that can be removed that will let you take the pull on down. We jokingly refer to it as the Lawyer Pin. Remove the barreled action and you'll see the pin above the trigger, take a small punch and drive it out. I've owned both Winchester and Browning versions and they have the same trigger, basically a Micro Motion C/D design. Mine breaks nicely at 2lbs. You can do a search over on RFC in the Winchester section, lots of info on the 52 Repro.
