Found this Single Six flat gate on gunbroker. The serial number says its a 1955 product. I'll have to wait for it to be shipped from Alaska and then 10 days for Kalifornia's wait, but then I'll get to run some ammo through it. Should be fun to see how a Ruger this old shoots. Anyone here have a flat gate?

Man---that was a great find! My brother has had one since 1955 , he and I have fired thousands of rounds through it. It is the best .22 Caliber revolver I have ever handled. We were on the Marine Reserve pistol team in Durham, NC then and when unsupervised on their indoor range, we burned a lot of government ammo in that Ruger. Well made, balanced, reliable, just what a revolver should be. I'm jealous. Thanks for the photo.

Never felt the need to send it in for the "recall" as we know how to shoot single action revolvers. Looks like you did good and hope you like it!

Hey Paul, how are you feeling? Find anything to help with the pain?

Are all Single Sixes approved on the Cali DoJ list?

Apparently so. As a single action, they don't have to pass the drop test, so they are good to go. California is doing its best, however, to drive all productive people out and turn the state into a third world backwater. If I could, I'd move to Nevada now and establish residence there, where nobody worries about a single six. Unfortunately, my business can't move, so here I stay for now.
