Mike / John......page loading speed is VERY SLOW !

I thought that after awhile, the speed at which the pages load would get better, but, it seems to be getting slower. I have a dial up system and was hopefull the speed would improve. Any light at the end of the tunnel? Thanks.......:eek:

It seems to come and go... Yesterday was a VERY BAD day. Im going to have to hunt for yet another new home I believe.

Same here on 8 February approximately 0827 CST. Noticed it yesterday as well and I have high speed cable. I'm not posting this as a whine but rather to further confirm for you what Bear57 posted.

I appreciate all the efforts already expended by you and John on behalf of GGVG and fully support whatever actions you may have to take to work things out. Keep up the good fight and thanks. :)

If this wasn't such a great site, I've stopped coming a long time ago, but, the gang is just too helpfull and I've picked up a lot of knowledge here. At first, I thought it was just my system, and now it looks like others are experiencing the same. As posted.......Mike we really appreciate what you and John have done and are doing. It could be this that is going on. It even took down SBCGLOBAL which provides my DSL for about 3 hours. I had to go outside and rototill the garden plot while I was going through withdrawl.

First, this forum is worth waiting for!

I have DSL and the forum list takes about 2 seconds to load. Listing a particular forum like Open Topic takes about 3 to 4 seconds. The old forum was a bit faster, but the amount of data in one page of this forum is a number of times greater with all the tables and extra features. I am beginning to really like this new forum format.

I was doing some looking around & have noticed that there are a couple other sites that also use [vBulletin] Saubier is 3.6.1 version & is white & blue. It is 2/3 times faster loading & navigating around on it. Then I was over on the "Benchrest Central Forum" & it is the same version of VBulletin 3.6.4 as GGVG. Now it is also a white background & 2/3 times faster to load & navigate on. The other thing that they don't use is the Avatar [little Pic's ] on posts. All that extra Bells & Whistle stuff , [Green & Yellow] is that whats slowing down GGVG ??? I have know idea, but made it dose. I have Hi Speed wireless connect & is still Frustratingly SLOW. Just my observation, I still check in on GGVG 1st all the time, then move on . My 2¢. Russ.
