We all know to a degree that hunting something that weighs roughly 1 tonne or better does have the ability to turn your day to doodoo if it gets a tad pissed at you especially if you don't do the 1st shot right and then go to water afterwards. Have a look at this, there is a bit of choice language towards the end of it but I think given the circumstances, well you make up your own mind, regards

I think I'll stick to Prairie Dogs !
Here's what the mentioned 500gr. solid out of a 458Lott does to a groundhog. This is my brother Matt. Oh yeah, this one didn't charge him.

as George said looks like the client could have shot
safely through the upper shoulder severing the spine
or moved around to get a shot through the lungs/heart.
Seems he froze.
thanks for the story. If I ever went big game hunting
I would want this family my guide.

You could have walked up and shot him the spine, that Buff didn't care he was getting stabbed so I don't think he would have noticed a gun toting client, just my observation. Adam
Those guys got really lucky no one was killed. Heres my buddy Kelly shooting my brothers Lott.
