Guys,
Anyone know if the 17 Mach IV custom chambers will be OK with the new Remington factory 17-221 cartridge?
Thanks.

Different shoulder angle. Not to sure about the rest. Check saubier.com

I believe it was finally determined from the cases viewed and discussed at saubier.com that the 30deg shoulder existed on the new Rem 17 Fireball.
If so, that left other potential differences to hopefully be insignificant (case length, body taper, etc).
SHOT Show ain't far away; hopefully we will get an accurate 1st hand report.

Somewhere on the net I read a long winded story of remingtons new .17 fireball, it will have the 30 degree shoulder as the 17 mach IV. cases ar same/same. But cahmber reamers a differ some in the neck area, as in the 17 mach IV you could maybe have a reamer that cuts slightly larger diameter neck, due to forming the 221 fireball cases neck down. That be the only area that could differ some. If I can find that story, I'll post the link.
