They seem pretty good for them money and I see a lot of them around. I'm morre interrested in a Fish & Ski like this one. No way SHE will allow me to get one of the nicer ones unless I get one with a porta-potti in it. And my banker won't let me do that either.

John I am not familiar with the Tahoe brand. I did buy a slightly used, three times, made in Canada Silverline 17 foot last spring with a Mercury 90 hp four stroke outboard. I found that the inboards are heavier to pull than an outboard, sacrifice floor space and use more gas than an outboard. The one I bought will do 45 mph without much problem and is stingy on fuel. Link is to Silverline but don't know if they sell them in your area.

Had an info reply to your "fish/ski" question last night, was proofing it when the power went out............gone. Anyhoo, this portapotty thing sure puts a new light on my reply.

Bayliners around here are dime a dozen, a gilded Chevette so to speak. Pretty cheaply made. An Imron paint job on a pos............but they sure look good.

I had previously opined that it is easier to do fun things with a more dedicated fish style boat than the other way around. As far as one that will do both well, hasn't been made yet, the ol' "perfect all around boat". That's why serious boaters usually have 3.........

Gee John, that potty thing sure do limit things.

Taj is right on the money on Bayliner - and it's my belief that most Bayliner owners are not repeat buyers. Boat looks good on the outside, but look at attention to detail and construction that's there when you start opening hatches and looking under the console(s).

I'm not fond of the Bass Tracker, and I find to reason to think I'd be fond of a Tahoe, I'd think they might fit in the same category as Bayliner.

As another responder suggested, there is no "perfect" boat. Figure out exactly what you want a boat to have (if you don't know, find some folks and check out what they like and don't like about their boat), and do your shopping from there.

When I shopped for my current fishing boat, I wanted a center console. I checked 'em out, Whaler, ProLine, Grady White, Robalo, Mako, etc, before I finally made up my mind and bought the boat with more of the things I wanted than the others had.

Good luck on finding what you want.
