Just moved my daughter and grandkids to Kellogg. Whilde there, a guy was telling me that the end of August/beginning of September is when the salmon are usually running. What would I need as far as size rod? Do I need a casting reel, or can I use an open face spinner? Yesterday it was 86 with a low of 56. Here, it was 106/81 and the morning moisture hit us with 69%.
