.. Hey fellas.. Turns out I'm one-of-those-guys that gets sea-sick.. If I forget my Bonine it's gonna be a miserable day.. That makes spontaneous trips a pain.. They have this stuff at Boaters World called Motion Ease or some such that claims to work even after the sickness sets in.. Sounds like the perfect thing for the queasy & forgetful.. But it's like $12 for a little bottle..
..Has anyone else used it (that'll admit it, PM if ya need to) and how well did it work.? Thanks.!! d:^) Jake

Jake..I am also one who is plagued with sea sickness...
I learned the hard way.
When I was sent to Korea on a troop ship, the trip took 23 days.
I was 19 years old and I lost 20 pounds..I was the most sick guy on the whole damm boat of over 800 guys. Now wouldn't you think the Army would look in my health records and fly me home when my 16 months was up...
NO WAY...back on the troop ship, and I pucked all the way home.

The only thing that has ever given me 100% complete success is the Scopolamine patch that you stick on your skin behind your ear..
I have to apply one the night before I go out the next morning, then I can do and eat anything.......My motto was.."no patch, no fishing"...

I fished on the Northern California Coast at Crecent City, all summer for 8 years and not once did I get sick, fished in some pretty sloppy stuff too.

I wouldn't try that stuff in that little bottle your talking about, even if you offered me your best hunting rifle...give me my Scopolamine....and there is NO WAY PERIOD...that you can take anything AFTER you get seasick....
to help you get better, ya gotta get back to shore and get off that damm boat.

Good luck and good fishing,

HARRY

If you haven't tried it, one alternative (to Rx drugs) a lot of folks swear by is ginger capsules. I use ginger whenever I fly and it works for me as well as or better than dramamine without the drowsies. It is also used by cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy to relieve nausea. As an added bonus ginger is inexpensive. I bought my last bottle at Wally World for something like $4-$5 per hundred capsules. One or two capsules every 4-6 hours works for me.
Good luck and God Bless.....
