UM UM UMMMM dem sure are good. tricky little sob's to catch. I haven't found a good crystal ball to let me know when they are biting. I have got lucky and caught a few. my personal best is just over a pound my buddy caught on 9 lb 2 0z.

..They seem to bite better on a slow tide period.. Most problems we get come from trash fish.. The little file fish and such make a nuisance of themselves..
..Of course, the feelings prolly mutual.. :p

.. I'm workin on some flounder now.. We hit the 'heads pretty hard over the last coupla weeks so I'm gonna give it a break.. d:^) Jake.

I've found the best way to consistantly put sheephead on Ice is to put a spear shaft thru their heads :D Nice catch. they sure can be fun on light gear when the bite is on. Do you guys not have snapper or grunts in NC? Down in FL its pretty much impossible to just catch sheephead with out a mixed bag of grunt and snapper.

They are alot different than the Sheephead(freshwater drum) that we catch on Lake Erie, nice mess of fish.

Yep that looks like them, on some days you cant keep them off your hook whether it be by trolling or drifting harnesses.
