Has anyone built a 22-250 Ar. I was planning on buying a RRA .308 and rebarreling it for 22-250. Rock River is not making the .308 yet.

It looks to me like the body tapper of the 22-250 might not feed well from an AR10 mag.
How about a 243 with 55gr bullets you dont have to shoot them any faster than a 22-250 or you can if you want.

Why not go with the lighter, cheaper AR-15 platform and do it in a .223 WSSM. It will out perform the .22-250, feed and function is not an issue, they work great.

I have been an admirer of the uppers that you build, but you just never hear of any of the wssm's really being a shooter. Like everyone else, I want something that shoots laser flat and will make a little group way on out there. Least ways small enough to hit a coyote in the boiler. I have an upper on the 223AI and I guess I am in search of perfection. :D

"Haven't heard of the WSSM uppers being a shooter" Are you kidding? I don't have ANY WSSM uppers out there that AREN'T shooters. The entire WSSM line is capable of very fine accuracy. The AR-15 is an inherently accurate platform, if you use a good barrel and pay attention to detail while you assemble the upper, it WILL be a shooter.

Ask around, if there is one of my uppers out there where the owner is not elated with the accuracy, I would like to know about it.

Have you had any problems with the 223 AI feeding from the AR mags?
I have a 223 AI in a bolt gun and really like the cartridge.

Up to this point, I have yet to chamber an AR in the .223 AI. This new year is going to bring many changes to my shop. I just recieved my first shipment of Shilen, stainless, match barrel blanks (106 pounds!) My first "run" will be .20 cal. I have several orders for .204 Ruger and a few for .20 Tactical. Where in the past I have been somewhat limited as to what I can produce, the new year is going to change much of that. I will be doing many of the popular wildcats, based on requests and the viabilty of it on the AR platform.

The .223 AI may very well be one of them.

I had trouble sighting in that 25 wssm that you sold me.
I couldnt see a group at 100 yds because they where all in one hole.

LOL! Now THAT'S what I'm talkin about!

I do want to set something straight though. I was not trying to be arrogant by the statement I made earlier regarding accuracy. ANYONE can build an accurate AR if they use a good barrel and pay attention to details. You can use the most expensive custom barrel available, but if you don't take care of details, you will be disappointed.

I know there are .243 and other calibers made. I just want something diffrent and I also have the equipment for reloading 22-250. Imight just purchase a .243 and rebarrel it later. I was just wondering if any had or heard of a 22-250 on an AR platform. I don't see feeding being any problem. I don't want to start reloading for another cartridge I spend to much time reloading for everything now. Don't get me wrong I love reloading maybe more than shooting.
