Default Sw22

How about this! S&W redesigned the attachment of the barrel to the frame. The model I have has a pillar permanently attached to the barrel. The take-down screw goes through the frame right in front of the trigger guard and screws into that pillar. S&W has now reversed the attachment so that the pillar is actually a large diameter screw captured in the frame which screws into a threaded opening in the barrel. That large screw has a small screw through it. When you tighten the small screw it turns the larger one into the barrel. Externally, you can't tell the difference. Reports are the new design locks up firmly but is still easy to remove.

I'm betting the boys at Volquartsen, who have already turned out replacement barrels for the gun, are scratching their heads over this.

Edit: And maybe not! Looks like the guy who had the "redesigned model" may have had a unique situation with his gun. The pillar/boss/whatever in his gun may have come unscrewed from the barrel. Odd stuff I tell ya'.

Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, john and his friend sally both spotted a dalmatian inside a truck with sirens, headed to put out a fire. State what the 2x4 is made of.
