Default FS - David Detsch Core Forming Die for .308 bullets

For Sale - David Detsch core forming die for .308 bullets (squirt die).

David is a carbide bullet die making specialist and is one of the best.
Bullets made in his dies have set numerous world records.

Die is gently used, in excellent condition and includes the original core form punch.
Die makes cores for bullets in the ~110 gr. - ~200 gr. +/- range using .308 cal jackets
in the length range .925" - 1.400" lengths.

The finished lead core body diameter is .2614" using nominal 1/4" diameter lead wire.
The finished core is flat both on the top & bottom, for flat base & boat tail bullets.

The die has a spring loaded ejector and is set up to use an ejector assembly.
Ejection can also be accomplished manually. Manual ejection is very slow and
not very user friendly.

The die has 3 - "bleed off exit holes" 120 degrees apart so that excess lead squirts
off equally all the way around. Bleed off squirts are about .032" in diameter.
Bore was polished to a mirror finish and makes professional quality cores.

Ejection is very easy.

This is a production quality die that will make bench rest bullet quality cores.

Core weight variation can easily be held within +/- .03 gr., using a good press and technique.

The original hardened tool steel core form die punch is included. Die has 7/8 x 14 tpi threads.

With proper use and care, it should last a lifetime.

Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, john and his friend sally both spotted a dalmatian inside a truck with sirens, headed to put out a fire. State what the 2x4 is made of.
