HOLOgraphic Diffraction Sight - "HDS" |

The
EOTech was originally designed for law enforcement and military applications,
which makes it ideal for many varmint hunting and sport shooting activities.
The design of the EOTech mounting system allows it to be mounted on a variety
of rifles, shotguns and handguns for hunting or competition shooting.
The unit attaches to Weaver style bases and is snugged in place with a
single Allen bolt.
Of particular note, the shooter can keep BOTH EYES OPEN when engaging targets such as fast moving Coyote or Fox. If that second or third Coyote has ever gotten away because your only open eye was glued to the first one in the limited field of view in a scope, you've been missing out. Using your peripheral vision, you can maintain your situational awareness by watching for movement while taking out the first "Ole Wiley". Additionally, since the sight does not magnify, persons with sight limitation who have difficulty using a scope or open sights due to an inability to focus simultaneously on the sights and target will find this equipment particularly beneficial. The shooter focuses only on the target, ignoring the sight. The projected reticle will be overlaid on the target, negating the need to refocus the eye on several points at once. Only the target need be in focus. As illustrated below, this sighting system is extremely accurate. The one-MOA dot reticle is sufficiently accurate to use on "Coyote sized" targets at exteme ranges in bright daytime conditions or at night. The reticle brightness is adjustable through 20 stages of brightness. Best of all, the heads up display has ZERO PARALLAX! In the 20 yard target below, the reticle was deliberately placed out of center at five different locations on the display for each shot. The results speak for themselves. Power for the unit is provided by two "AA" or "N" batteries. Battery life is dependent on the selected brightness setting but for AA batteries it is approximately 500 hours and for N batteries the expected battery life is 100 hours. In the event the unit is accidentally left on, it will automatically shut down after eight hours, or four if selected. |

HOLOgraphic Diffraction Sights or "HDS" -The HDS has been designed and tested to provide consistent, reliable performance even in the most hostile operational environments. It is waterproof, fog proof, shockproof, and temperature proof. The HDS is designed to withstand Mil Spec drop tests and still remain fully operational and hold zero. The HDS has been extensively tested in a punishing recoil simulator generating 3,500 G's of acceleration in less than 0.5 milliseconds (the recoil of a .454 Casull revolver) as well as various environmental chambers). The Heads Up Display is constructed with a 3 layer, shatterproof laminate glass that is 3/16" thick for added durability. Additional protection of the Heads Up Display is provided with a "roll bar" ruggedized hood. There
are several models of EOTech's HDS available, each with specific features
available to suit your shooting needs, including models with night vision
compatability. Some features standard in all models include:
