forumadmin Hey there,

I looked into your intro post and saw it in the mdoeration queue.
I went ahead and approved it.
It could be the spam prevention tool putting you there because your first couple post would if there is a link, image or a huge chunk of text.

Cheers,

Ed

Approval

First I ever heard of moderator approval. We've always kind of been self-moderating as long as I've been around. There have been a couple of cases where somebody crapped in the soup kettle, got ignored, and disappeared but that's about it.

Lugnut Thanks Carpman. I did post an intro on the new member thread. I saved the text of my post so I don't have to re-type it (whew). I'll give it a few days and then try again.

Kentucky Fisherman Lug, so far as I know, no one is moderating posts at all. The GoGo Board -- as we old-timers call it -- has been around for 15-20 years, begun and "owned" by a couple of guys we knew as John and Mike. They ran the board all that time, but finally sold it 1-2 years ago to some big Internet giant that owns a whole slew of boards. As best I can tell this corporate giant is selling ad space here, but otherwise letting things limp along without moderators or a forum admin. That sounds bad, but there are good aspects to it.

Best I can tell, posts are automatically approved and posted, at least mine are. If you've registered very recently it may be that someone somewhere does look at your first few posts before they are approved and visible.

We're real glad to welcome new members, whether you become a daily visitor or just drop by from time to time. I suggest you go up to the top, "general" forum and introduce yourself. We'd like to know what kind of hunting, shooting, and other activities you enjoy.

Post Moderation

Hello, I am a new member and I posted something in Dedicated Predator/Varmint Hunting forum, and when I submitted it I got a quick popup that said something about moderator approval but the popup went away rather quickly.

I still don't see the post and I'm worried it is gone. How long does moderation take? I am ok with waiting, but just want to know if my post has disappeared.

Thanks
