i'm thinking there might be some name confusion here. Thanks for the link, which reveals nice binoculars on steroids. That's a bit different form a spotting scope, which has only one objective. The Swaro is a true spotting scope, but with two oculars. My apologies for being picky.

While good oversized binoculars will deliver more light than a binocular spotting scope, the negative is the weight and size of them. i've thought long and hard about getting the big binos, but they are bigger and heavier than i'd like. The binocular spotter is lighter and smaller, but Swaro glass doesn't come cheap and is over budget as well. No free lunch...rats.
