History
A special "super car" Chevrolet project to produce a world-beater GT Corvette; first available to the public as the 1990 model, featuring the ONLY dual over-head cam V8* ever installed in a Corvette to this day (12/15/15).
*The 1990 to 1995 ZR-1s were the only Corvette to ever have an engine NOT built by Chevrolet. Instead, the motor was a "clean sheet" new design by Lotus (owned by GM at the time), and assembled by Mercury Marine and tested before sending it on to Bowling Green for installation.
