I have my 7mm-08 set up as my go to gun BUT have a 4 tags so far and would like to use my 257 Roberts on a deer soooo.
I want to work up a load for deer with my 257 Roberts I have good luck with 75 gr V-max but haven't messed with the bigger bullets.

I have a selection of bullets but would like to use 100gr Winchester SilverTips.

Any pet loads or other bullet/load suggestions Will be apprecated.
Thanks In advance

Not sure what you have for powder but try 37gr of Varget or 40gr of IMR-4350 with the 100 grainers. :D

I have used 38 grains of 4350 and a Hornady 100 grain bullet in my wife's 257 Roberts for about 30 years now, everything she shot with it fell over dead.

I use 47.0 gr of h4350 with 100gr & 45.0 of h4350 with 117/120 gr bullets. All of my 25 cal. deer kills have been with 117/120 gr bullets mostly partations.

+1 Tom, I've been using 46-H4350-100 Hornady flat base, or 45-H4350-115 Partition in my Rugers. Another powder that goes nearly grain for grain is Ramshot Hunter.

+2 on Tom

Those should work well with H-4350. In fact, it was Tom who sent me some Winchester 120's to try, and they were very accurate in mine. I never bought more, but if I needed a heavy, they would be my first choice in the 120 class.

I use W748 under the 70's, for 3600-3650fps., fwiw.
