Hard to beat a Savage, I have a friend who has a heavy barrel and an Axis sporter, the heavy shoots a ragged hole with Winchester factory ammo, and the axis sporter shoots between 1/2" to 3/4" for 3 shot groups. The 6.5CM is designed to be a accurate round from the get go.

I've found it is easier to sort out "one-hole" loads by shooting at 200+ yards. Then it is easier to pick out the pepper from the fly specs!:D

Also, the chronograph helps a lot, I find. But, that said, you've got a shooter there: something that will likely shine with a little "polish"!

Looking like a 1,000 yard varmint kill coming up. Also, I have found that run out, even in factory ammo makes a significant difference. Sort groups of .004 or less, then shoot for group. Sort say .005-.010 shoot for group. Etc. Compare.
Then index high spot, mark and load marked round same in chamber. Note group and impact point. I found distinct group shift patterns. Good luck.
