I've been using them for sometime now newest applacation in my 243 Finnlight with a 20 " barrel. I'm shooting 49gr of H380. Any short barrel 243 shooter getting good results with them?
Shot 4 coyotes with them in the 6x45 mostly inside of 100yds they stayed in and one at 200yds through the ribs come out the size of a quarter. One so far with the 243 at 200yds shoulder hit in and no out DRT.

Used 55 g. Nosler BT's

I couldn't believe it but they shoot really well in my Savage .243. Wal-Mart special..Not sure about the speed but I was using a max load of 4064. Needless to say a coyote is DRT with no exit.

Well John the 6X45 goes 3200fps in a 16" AR-15. The 243 I'm not sure. I was going for 22-250 speed trying to go easy on my barrel. That is a light load of H380 as a guess maybe 3500fps .Haven't had a chance to chrony it yet in the 243.

A buddy is shooting the 55gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips out of a 18 1/2" Remington Model 788. He is loading 44.0grs. of Varget to a muzzle velocity of 3600 FPS. I don't remember exactly how many Coyotes he has shot with this combo, but do remember him telling me that most of the time there is no exit. He must like this bullet n load as he just borrowed my .243 Dies to load up another 200 rounds.

For sake of arguement I chronographed the above load out of a 15" T/C Encore Handgun. Velocity was 3240 FPS, but haven't shot anything with this load out of the Handgun as yet. A 14" Savage Striker in .243 shot the same load (44.0grs. Varget) to 3173 FPS, but I never did shoot a Coyote with that combo.

55 gr. BT out of .243

I have loaded these, forget the powder drop, but they were devestating on PD's. I have loaded 60 gr. Sierra with Varget and they also were great on PD's and coyotes out to 300+yards.
