I think 2019 will be a somewhat interesting year for rimfire shooters.

I hope it is, there is nothing I like better than shooting my 22 rimfires. I still have some original 5mm Mag ammo in my cabinet, box has price sticker of $3.49.

I've had excellent service out of Aguila SE-HV ammo in my various .22s, every single one of them shoot the stuff pretty well, AND it's as reliable as CCI, and costs less. I can live with that. It shoots better than CCI MiniMags in my guns, too (except MiniMag Segmented HPs, which are remarkably good in my rifles).

Oddly, the SE-SV isn't so good. Seems weird that HV outshoots SV, but that's the case in my rifles. I can live with that.

That is the old ammo I was shooting to compare velocities. If you look closely at the new Aguila ammo, you can see a box of 30 JHP Varmint ammo. It was not announced and a box was included with what I received from Aguila. IMO, the Varmint ammo was the better overall performer.
