The 'smith who built my rifle sent me a box of the 85 gr Sierra H.P. to try. We're not sure if it will shoot well in my 1/9 twist barrel. If anyone can give me a headstart i'd sure appreciate it.
This is for the 87gr Speer and you can play around this load if you like.
87 gr Speer
Winchester brass
Fed 210 primers
50.0 grs IMR 4064
Shoots right at 3/4" in my 1: 8.75 twist. Barrel length is 23.5" heavy varminter. This load is pretty close to being max for my 03 Springfield actioned custom. Here's a link to Handloads.com. They have a decent variety of loading data. And all disclaimers apply, use at your own risk, your mileage may vary. http://handloads.com/loaddata/default.asp?Caliber=6.5/06&Weight=85&type=rifle&Order=Powder&Source=
Hope this is helpful
