Hey George. Didn’t you get an Athlon scope a while back? If so, what do you think of them? Looked through one today at Brownells. Really busy reticle. I think it was a 5-25.

They are fine no real complaints a little heavy and like you said busy...i just traded one to koger he has 2 or 3 i think.
I think the Arken 5-25 is i great buy ...but it to is heavy.
Doug I have 3 of them now, the 4x27 I got off of George, a 4x16 on the wifes .270 and a 10x40x56 I got to put on my 264 Win mag. Pretty clear glass, and they all track well. They have about 10 different reticles, to choose from. I got mie from Euro optics on a open box sale, about $100 off. I have never had one to loose zero.
I use Athlon glass on my varmint rigs, mostly the Talos 6-24x in MOA or MIL. These work well out to 400 yds for me and the rifles they are mounted on (20 and 223 calibers) The MOA recticle is easy, the MIL is a bit busier IMO but the lines seem a bit finer. I just need more scope time with the MIL version to get use to it. The 10-40x recticle is a bit distracting but I think if you use it a lot you would not notice it as much, but I've not used mine enough to say for sure.
I don't have an Athlon rifle scope, but I do have a very good Athlon Spotting scope. It compares favorable with My wife's Kowa and I've never seen anything better that that.
