If anybody needs a "real" gun to shoot, you can shoot a little RUGER...
Might need some barrel stamping done, Kermit. Have you inflated your prices? :D
Rumor is for a box of primers, Donnie will use his new, high tech, double stepped, Chinesium impregnated rat taiI file for custom crown work. The service comes w a free pkg of balloons.

Reading the responses is giving me flashbacks. Or maybe gas. Not sure but, either way, we’re gonna be there.

I like Carl's twist. Wish we had a way to suspend the balloons 200/300/400 yards above the range. We could use helium balloons, I guess, but the local authorities wouldn't be happy. Maybe we do the usual water balloon thing but the shootoffs involve helium balloons on 3-4 feet of string. Yeah, that might sort of simulate the ***** balloon bust. :ROFLMAO:
I'll be there. I thought the tgt foremat was less labor intensive. I like less labor more n more :)

Bump
Hmm, I've been shooting my Savage 6BR factory gun forever, but last fall I screwed a Criterion barrel on it. So to shoot in Factory Class I'll have to either bring my Remmy .223 out of mothballs or do something else. I have PPC loaded for my Stiller custom gun. I wonder if the ammo loaded for my Stiller would chamber in Donnie's Ruger PPC? Now that'd be something if a Team Savage member shot Factory Class with a Ru-Ru-Ru-Ruger. Hmmmm.
Don't let him kid you boys...
That sa sa saa...thing is already on its way here for its "stamp'in"
Big G will never know...LOL
I should be able to come. This newbie will try my .30-06 on factory (all I have for factory), maybe lob some 221rfb on lite.

Wade (is that right?), when I attended my first BBB somewhere around 2002, all I had to bring with me was a Remington 788 carbine in .243. My reloading consisted of one of those Lee handloader sets in a box. I'd been a deer hunter for quite a few years, but up until then precision shooting meant being able to hit a deer's heart-lung zone at 50-60 yards. But in spite of me not having any equipment, my hope was that if I drove down to Somerset on that second Saturday of May, I'd see guys shooting chicken eggs at 400 yards. Not just shooting AT 'em, but actually hitting them. I figured guys who could do that just might just teach me some things that would help my accuracy hunting deer.

That's how my journey began, with a Remington 788 hunting rifle. So, you bring that .30-06, bring a friendly attitude, and you'll meet some of the finest fellas I've ever run into. If any of them offer to let you shoot their high-dollar rifle, you smile and say, "Never shot anything like that, but I'd love to, thank you."

I will warn you: When you hold the crosshairs on a water balloon at 200-300 yards, touch the trigger and watch it explode, it may end up costing you a whole lot of money. But if you're sensible and willing to shoot good used gear for a while, you can have a ball without having to sell the farm.

Glad you're planning to come, and I'll be looking to meet you.
