We will be shooting balloons 🎈 ☺
Come one come all!
BBQ and bullshit will be free for all!

Bluegrass Balloon Bust --
May 13th
Range near Somerset, KY -- 12 covered concrete benchs.

$15 range fee.. that includes your food and drink for the day!!

$10 entry per gun.
10 shot's per match..+ sighters...balloon target (.format to be set)

Factory class
(Mass production firearms only) -- no custom or semi custom guns or custom shop. You can replace trigger/float/glass bed/recrown your factory gun but thats ALL!

...200 yards

Must have factory chamber/action/stock.
factory barrel stamp must be visible

CUSTOM LITE class--keep it 15lbs and under ...300 yards

CUSTOM HEAVY class open...400 yards......no rails of any type

you can NOT shoot the same gun in the same class twice ( unless ) you have 2 shooters for the gun...

NO spotters allowed during the match. NO one piece rest. Any scope power any class

east of Somerset KY on HWY 80 to road 1003 go 7.2 miles your there....
(...NO Alcohol... )

SHOOTING STARTS AT 9AM so be there by 8 AM to sign in

I'd like to come but I can't. Just used up most of my time off on a hunting trip. Anybody try shooting balloons at 200 yds with a 22 lr?

Well, Ky Fish called and conned me into digging out my old brass, 10 or 12 years since we loaded'em and I had 9 left. Tucker had 20 so I loaded a few more so I guess we'll brang a couple of the RUGERS after all... just for shits and giggles...

How on Earth did you find That place? It ain't on the way to Anywhere.
There is a State Firing range about aile from there. Good spot to pick up Brass.
I remember when the RR removed all the Tunnels off that line. I was about 10 or 12 years old.

Anything related to railroads: I'm on it! The Keno range was only 100yds, $5 per day, and wasn't willing bother breaking a $20. Over the weekend I had to eliminate my 222 and the 7-30. They were pittyfull at 300yrds. The 221 performed better at 300, but will only get me in the 50 to 60 point range. Still, that is notable for a 40gn bullet and 18" barrel. The .06 is great 200, but doesn't shine at 300. I hope it qualifies for the stock 200.

We got a 6 ppc you can shoot at 300.
Just now loading for it.
And bringing 2 Rem 223s for factory you can shoot.

Hey, Donnie, have you noticed that WadeMod's photo looks like he's about 8-9 years old. I still shudder when I remember competing against Tucker and Elijah when they were that age. Maybe you better bring that booster seat for your stool. Naw, apparently he's already got one, cause he's driving.

Now WadeMod, before you get upset, getting heckled a little around here just means you're being accepted. Unless your name is Kermit. In that case, we're serious.

I’m gonna bring a bucket of .223 brass as trade fodder. Not a skruske size bucket. Maybe 3 gallons. I’ll take one of them Ruger mater stakes and throw in $5 to boot, Donnie.

Truth….I am bringing that .17HM2 Charger just for kicks. We’ll put up a target at about 25’. It is a Ruger after all. 😂

First time I ever heard of anyone Paying to Shoot there. I shoot at home and only go there to pick up brass. You better get there on Sunday evening or it will be gone. I got lucky the last visit a few weeks ago and got a 3 gallon bucket full. I live about 25 miles from Keno..

well my boys decided we where gonna come...I missed a bunch of the regulars....had a great time shooting...I didnot like the muzzle brakes in my face

It was a bit obnoxious i agree but we all lived
And he's a good guy so just be glad it wasn't a 300 super mag !
